DO CHOICES HAVE CONSEQUENCES?

The United States of America's latest move is under keen watch by Kenyans. This is follows a statement made by the USA Ambassador to Kenya Mr. Robert Godec yesterday. The US diplomat stated that it recognises and respects a decision made by Kenyans of voting in president Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto.

Godec assured Kenyans of his country's continued support and partnership with Kenya despite the on-going cases on crimes against humanity facing
the president and his deputy at ICC.

'On behalf of President Barrack Obama, I congratulate president Uhuru and His Dputy William Ruto following their Election Victory. We are commited to working together and strengthening the relationship' Mr. Godec said.

He also said African Union is an independent body that can make itss own decisions whether to back up the request of withdrawing ICC charges facing Uhuru, his Dputy Ruto and radio journalist Joshua Arap Sang at the Hague or not.

He further added that President Obama did not knowingly skip Kenya in his coming African tour because of the cases facing its leaders at the Hague based court.

Godec said Obama's was to cement his country's relations with African nations. He was speaking at Kalalua Dispensary in Laikipia East when he toured the facility which was constructed with the help of the US government two years ago.

Mr Godec is planning to tour all the 47 counties in the country. He hinted that his tour mainly is to assist in the process of Devolution.
