"WE ARE READY TO FORGIVE MR. KIDERO" SAYS MR. SHEBESH.

Mr Frank Shebesh the husband to the Nairobi Women Representative, Rachel Shebesh is willing to forgive Evans Kidero on only one condition, Mr Kidero to apologise to him.
Shebesh said that he has been receiving phone calls from Kidero's camp apologising on behalf of the Governor, but he said he will only do so if the Governor admits  that what he did to his wife was totally wrong and unacceptable.
“If he is man enough to apologise to me personally, then I will accept the apology,”he said, adding that “peddling lies that he was assaulted by his wife’, then he has no other option left other than pushing the matter to court.
“We are civilised and we believe in the rule of the law. We will exhaust all our options,” he said. Shebesh said that he was very sorry that he was not at the scene of the incident to protect his wife from the straying hands of the Nairobi Governor.
Nairobi senator, Mike Sonko has also offered to reconcile the controversial city leaders saying that the all saga was political motivated meant to bring chaos into Nairobi county leadership. Thus making the county ungovernable.
'Both Dr Kidero and Mrs Shebesh are leaders but they are also human beings and we should not rush into judging them,”  Sonko said.

CORD MP'S THREATENED TO BE SENT HOME BY JUBILEE CAMP.

Well, the Uhuru/Ruto led members of parliament have sworn to use their numbers wisely this time by sending CORD  counterparts home. The leader of the majority Aden Duale has vowed to table a motion in parliament to send the Mp's who staged a mass walk out during the passing of the motion of Kenya pulling herself out of ICC. Duale said that the CORD Mp's led by the Deputy minority and Gem lawmaker Jakoyo Midiwo failed terribly to represent their people and therefore should cease to be members of parliament.
The Coalition for Reforms and Democracy legislators walked out of the house during the passing of the motion on what they termed as they can never be part of writing a history that during their time they withdraw the nation from the international community body.

KENYAN ASSEMBLY PASSES ICC MOTION HERE ARE KENYAN'S REACTION ON SOCIAL MEDIA.

The National Assembly has passed a motion that seeks to withdraw Kenya from the International Criminal Court.
A bill to effect the withdrawal is expected to the tabled in the House within 30 days.
The MPs' move to approve the motion comes just days before the trial of Deputy President William Ruto and former radio presenter Joshua arap Sang for crimes against humanity opens at The Hague.
Majority Leader Aden Duale introduced the motion in Parliament.
On Tuesday, Deputy Speaker Joyce Laboso, through a gazette notice, recalled the House to discuss the motion.

"Don't be vague, let's go to the Hague!" is what I heard some people say not too long ago. It's funny how things change.

They say history repeats itself. Fast rewind to 1944. The setting: The animal farm
“My sight is failing,” Clover said finally. “Even when I was young I could not have read what was written there. But it appears to me that that wall looks different. Are the Seven Commandments the same as they used to be, Benjamin?” For once Benjamin consented to break his rule, and he read out to her what was written on the wall. There was nothing there now except a single Commandment. It read: ALL ANIMALS ARE EQUAL BUT SOME ANIMALS ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS.

Situation in Kenya is getting scary by the day. I won't be surprised that this government's/parliament next move will be to suspend next elections to continue protecting these same friends of theirs.

You MPs know and we Kenyans know that withdrawing from ICC is not the answer. And I dare say ICC is not the answer either. We Kenyans should purpose to do the right thing and the right thing is to respect human rights regardless of race, religion, tribe, sex or sexual orientation now and always. This is the answer.
If we are not able to do this, or we are not ready then withdrawing will haunt us and we'll crawl back begging we be readmitted.

    Mkenya_halisi
This is a bad precedence for the ruling coalition. This leaders are now operating with GREED and EMOTIONS instead of the rule of law and the best interest of Kenya not just now but also going forward and the future.

I have no trust in the ICC and the Laws of the ICC do not apply fairly to everyone. To me it is a bullying tool designed to subjugate those who are supposedly can not govern themselves. I think Kenyans, from hereon, should reform and reinforce the laws that in place in their country and not expect the so called international bodies to be their justice system. Having said that, I don't think Mr. Kenyatta and Mr. Ruto should escape justice. They should have their day in court and should be presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Thanks to the Duale and his jubilee counterparts.
Kenya is on her way back to the dark ages. We will not only be reminded of the Kenyatta and Moi killings, but we will witness more killings and injustice across this country like never before. There can be no justice in Kenya so the brutal killers have shut the ICC door in exchange for more killings and impunity. What a shame!

this is one step backwards while also we are suffering from increase of tax they should be focusing on that

  • David Zaina
If we had ICC we would not have had the Gov.'s brutal force during the
shifta war of 1967, we would not have had the Wagarra Massacre of 1984,
our people would not have been killed in the tribal clashes of 1992 and
1997 and there would not have been any PEV of 2007. It's ICC that gave
us peace in 2013.I love ICC and Kenyans love ICC too.

  • Insecta King
This definitely is not the best way to lock horns with the ICC, in addition its way too late.
  • Masumbi
Let MPs have the courage of their convictions by introducing another bill to quit UN (and its affiliate organizations), World Bank, IMF, and quit begging money from those countries they accuse of being behind ICC. Yesterday, I heard Duale argue that we can quit ICC because US is not a member either. Fair enough even though it sounded like an immature reasoning. We will soon find out that US punches at a much heavier weight than we do. If my memory serves me right, there was a carrot and stick nudging before we agreed to join ICC. Expect those pressure points to re-emerge.

RAILA ODINGA CAN SING TOO? YOU HAVE TO LISTEN TO HIS NEW SONG.

I know you are surprised to read that Agwambo has new talent apart from Politics, well if you can remember last year when the campaigns were at their peak with each politician taking on the other’s neck? There was a point where CORD leader, Raila Odinga, referred to Jubilee leaders as *vijana wa pombe na bhangi* and full of court cases. Someone has decided to make a *Raila song* of that short speech with Raila Odinga’s own voice. Listen to it on the link below.>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-gLCbkrjjc&feature=share

CORD LEADERS DEFENDS THE FORMER PM OF HECKLING OF JUBILEE LEADERS AT KISII

Cord top notch leaders have dismissed allegations which surfaced that former Prime Minister Raila Odinga hired youths to heckle Jubilee leaders in Kisii. In a statement they have termed this as reckless and meant to divert attention from Jubilee's failure to honour poll promises.
Siaya senator James Orengo and Suba MP John Mbadi said government spokesman Muthui Kariuki's claims were without basis and meant to demonise an innocent Raila who had nothing to do with the crowds reaction at a funeral of the 15 students and teachers who perished in an accident two weeks ago.
On Tuesday during the burial of 11 students and four teachers who perished in a road accident two weeks ago government officials including ICT cabinet secretary Fred Matiang’i were booed by the angry crowd at the venue. However, according to our impeccable sources from the ground the youths were angry at the presidents failure to turn up.
On Thursday, Muthui said “it is common knowledge that Raila’s sidekicks spent three days in Kisii County plotting how they would disrupt the funeral service” adding that the money paid the hecklers was drawn from the “Kisii county coffers.”
“We state without fear that Odinga was a mourner just like all the others. He neither ferried nor paid anyone .If he got a standing ovation, it was as a result of the community's respect for him,” they said in a statement.
Muthui also accused the cord leader of failing to return six government vehicles in his possession almost four months after leaving office but the mps in defending Raila vowed that the former premier will not return any of the properties including the vehicles that were allocated to him.
Odinga is also facing accusations that he has illegally put a siren on one of the cars which he is using it to manoeuvre through traffic in the city.
“He is forever mourning that the government is not giving him recognition, yet he has refused to return six government vehicles and has gone on and bought an illegal siren and is forever driving all over town using the wrong lanes,” Muthui said on Thursday.
But in rejoinder, the mps said that if the siren was illegally fitted in Raila's car, the police should have arrested him.
“The siren in his car is a government property and we wonder what  Muthui means when he says the siren is illegal, they should have arrested him if it was illegal,” Orengo said.

KETHI KILONZO; LIKE FATHER LIKE DAUGHTER

At long last Diana Kethi Kilonzo is on the ballot box to vie for the Makueni senate seat which fell vacant after the sudden demise of her dad senator Mutula Kilonzo. Kethi came into the limelight after representing AFRICOG in the disputed presidential petition at Kenyan supreme court. For the past few months Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has been trying effortlessly to persuade the brainy lawyer to enter the race in her late fathers party. But now it appears things are going smoothly for the party. However Jubilee coalition who have been laying strategies on possible ways to clinch the seat are having hard times following Kethi's entrance into the race. Kethi is in the race with the much dreaded politician Harun Mwau But as it seems she is the most appropriate candidate to snatch the seat, her brilliance has baffled many people not only in Makueni county but the entire country.

APOLOGY AT LONG LAST.

Kenya At 50: Business As Usual.

Tomorrow is Saturday, right? Kenya is turning 50. Some folks are the jolly lot. Tonight people who are loaded are going mad all over major towns in the country celebrating what they best call jubilee. Despite all these grand celebrations by the few and fortunate Kenyans. The majority of us[ who are poor by our own making]  have no clue what is on tomorrow or what to celebrate about.

The founding fathers of this nation most of them who have left us, fought fiercely in the bush to chase away the white man. The main reason for chasing away a mzungu was to get back our land which we were dearly snatched as we closed our eyes for the missionaries to pray for us. The  incoming and long awaited African saviors instead of laying strong pillars for the young nation they knowingly planted seeds of ethnicity, corruption and impunity. All these and many cousins of these are what is wrestling us down.

At Independence mzee promised us that he knew what was our problems and he would alleviate them overnight. he highlighted poverty. diseases and ignorance as our main enemies. 50 years later ,show me a country where its people are dying of hunger if not Kenya. 50 years later, show me a nation which heavily relies on donor food. as if that's not an insult show me a nation where malaria, TB, HIV and AIDS is claiming many lives not mentioning cancer. Although efforts have been made to alleviate ignorance. show me the shocking numbers of illiteracy levels in Africa if at all Kenya will miss from the top ten i will a call it a night time miracles.

Kenya is turning 50; but still no any laudable progress has been advanced at solving the land issue. Many people who are celebrating tomorrow because the government as said its a national holiday still eke out a living ;they are landless in their own country . still many patriots who will fill i don't know which stadium to sing and dance  the freedom songs have no idea what tomorrow brings for them, they are singing and dancing because everybody around is doing the same.

All past Kenyan leaders without no reservations have failed us badly because we have let them to. Someone wise somewhere said "If you want to know how people are living in a nation just look at their politics" that's the case in our country . Politics shapes a country and its people. our M PIGS are clamoring for high pay-rise because they view themselves as our begotten sons.I wish they knew tonight just like many nights am sleeping on a hungry stomach. I wish they know am out of varsity because my poor parents cannot afford the ever rising fees. These is how we have been pampering PIGS till they have become spoiled rotten. Thanks to the new katiba we have in place.

As a nation we should take care of our youths. look at the startling statistics; the high number of unemployment- idle young men and women is a ticking time bomb waiting to explode any minute. Unless clear measure are put in place to tap this young minds the future of this nation has a real rough ride.

Its for this reasons and many more i will not join the masses to celebrate a madaraka day while our minds are not free at all, we are tied down by manacles of our on past. Instead i should be plotting how to redeem this wonderful nation from the hands of a punch of maggots who are fighting to retain statuesque.

P.S: THE WRITER IS A STRANDED STUDENT WHOSE FUTURE IS UNCERTAIN, DESPITE PASSING HIS K.C.S.E EXAMS COMING FROM A HUMBLE FAMILY HAS HINDERED HIM JOINING THE COSTLY KENYAN VARSITY.
