12 YEAR OLD HANGS SELF IN KISUMU AFTER ARGUING WITH MOTHER

A 12 year old class five pupil in Kisumu county today hang her self after a petty argument with her mom over untidy house. Elizabeth Atieno decided to end her life shortly after the argument ensued.
Neighbours say they heard   loud screams and wails from the house and rushed in to find out what was the cause of the alarm. Upon arriving they saw the mother mourning the demise of her daughter. Speaking shortly to the media the sobbing mother said she had an argument after she found out that her daughter was seated and watching the televison while the house was in a total mess, as a responsible mother she ordered her to clean the house before doing anything else.
The mother of three left the house and minutes later when she checked in, she was unable to come into terms when she saw the body of her 12 year old daughter dangling from the roof top of their sitting room.
The area police boss while responding to the matter said they are conducting a thorough investigation to find out the root cause of the suicide.The body was taken to Nyanza Provincial Hospital morgue for a Postmortem examination.
