BREAKING NEWS....BRITISH ARMY COLONEL SHOT DEAD IN LANGATA.
Edward Loden, a former British army colonel has been shot dead while on a holiday in Kenya. Loden who commanded a unit which was responsible for bloody Sunday shootings in Northern Ireland was shot today evening at his son's residence in Langata estate.According to our sources, a group of armed robbers stormed into their compound just after the watchman was closing the gate and demanded cash from the colonel and his two family members who were in the car. The attackers made away with a necklace and ATM card as they shot through the windscreen . They vanished into a near by river which made it harder for the police who were chasing them lose contact.
Mr. Edward will be remembered as a colonel who served in the infamous Parachute Regiment, which in 1972 fired carelessly more than 100 shots during a civil rights demonstration in Londonderry. During the fire arm shootings 13 civilians were killed instantly while 14 others succumbed five months later from wounds.
However the former colonel was exonerated by the Saville inquiry on grounds that he was not aware that his soldiers might be firing at innocent and harmless people. He retired from the army in 1992 to pursue his career in business management and sailing.
